Microsoft OneDrive Cuts Prices and Increases OneDrive Storage to 1TB
Microsoft OneDrive pricing, and offers 15GB of OneDrive Storage for free and 1TB for Office 365 subscribers.
Microsoft has updated its OneDrive pricing for Office 365 subscriptions and OneDrive storage, cutting costs and increasing strorage capacity. The pricing changes begin this month for all users, and Microsoft will automatically move current subscribers to lower-cost plans.
- Microsoft OneDrive will now provide 15GB of free storage: Due to research that reveals that 3 out of 4 people have roughly 15GB of files on their computer, Microsoft is offering 15GB for free right out of the gate. Free OneDrive users previously received up to 7GB of storage simply for signing up, and this number will more than double this month.
- Office 365 subscribers receive 1TB of OneDrive storage: The Office 365 for Business plans include 1TB of OneDrive for Business cloud storage and sharing per user at not extra cost.
- Prices for OneDrive for Business (not through Office 365): Microsoft also offers OneDrive for Business for those who may need more storage, but not through an Office 365 subscription. Plan 1 includes 1TB of cloud storage at $5 per user per month and Plan 2 includes 5 TB of cloud storage, plus advanced security and compliance features for $10 per user per month.
