MessageOps provides a closer look at Microsoft Cloud App Security with this 15-minute demonstration

Security continues to be top of mind these days, especially as companies move more and more apps to the cloud. Today, data travels to many locations – across devices, apps, cloud services, and on-premises. It is important to gain visibility and control of data in cloud applications, given the increasing number of cybersecurity attacks and compliance requirements with key regulations. Microsoft’s Cloud App Security helps you elevate your security posture by taking control of your cloud applications and services. Microsoft Cloud App Security is a Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) that supports multiple deployment modes. It gives you rich visibility, enables you to control how your data travels, and provides sophisticated analytics to identify and combat cyberthreats – across all your cloud services.

Microsoft Cloud App Security natively integrates with leading Microsoft solutions and is designed with security professionals in mind. It provides simple deployment, centralized management, and innovative automation capabilities.

How do I get Microsoft Cloud App Security?

Microsoft Cloud App Security Architecture
Cloud App Security integrates visibility with your cloud by:

  • Using Cloud Discovery to map and identify your cloud environment and the cloud apps your organization is using.
  • Sanctioning and unsanctioned apps in your cloud.
  • Using easy-to-deploy app connectors that take advantage of provider APIs, for visibility and governance of apps that you connect to.
  • Using Conditional Access App Control protection to get real-time visibility and control over access and activities within your cloud apps.
  • Helping you have continuous control by setting, and then continually fine-tuning, policies.

Governance

Having this visibility of data in your cloud applications leads to important questions…’How do we govern it?’ and ‘What is my organization doing to secure our hybrid environment with Azure?’. The Five Disciplines of Cloud Governance is the most valuable, and often overlooked aspect of a successful Azure Cloud program. Developing a Governance program for your Azure environment is a fundamental component to establishing both policy management and cost management and optimization.
